This policy explains what information Linqent collects when you use our service, why we collect it, and how you can control it. It is written to be clear and specific, because your trust matters.

1 Who we are

Linqent provides a social media growth service. Our product is an AI agent that, when you explicitly connect your own LinkedIn account, publishes posts to your own profile in your voice and leaves comments on relevant posts as you — all through the official LinkedIn API.

The service operates strictly within your own account: we manage your own profile and your own published content. We never access, store or manage the profile, posts or data of any other LinkedIn member.

Throughout this policy, "Linqent", "we", "our" and "us" refer to the company providing this service. Linqent acts as the data controller for all personal information processed through the service, and all data processing described in this policy is carried out under our responsibility and oversight.

2 Information we collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide and improve the service:

  • Account information: your email address and a securely hashed password when you create an account. We never store passwords in plain text.
  • Content configuration: the keywords, language, dialect, tone and other settings you enter for your workflows.
  • Generated content: the posts and comments our agent drafts and publishes on your behalf.
  • LinkedIn connection data: when you connect a LinkedIn account, we receive and store your LinkedIn identifier, name, profile picture, profile URL and an access token that lets us publish to that profile on your behalf.
  • Support and usage data: your support chat messages, and basic service usage logs used to operate and secure the service.

3 How we use your information

  • To operate, secure and manage your account.
  • To generate content based on the workflow settings you provide.
  • To publish posts, comments and reactions to the LinkedIn account you explicitly connected, when you enable it.
  • To improve the service, diagnose errors and provide support.
  • To communicate with you about your account and important service updates.

We do NOT use your data for

  • Selling your personal information to third parties.
  • Targeted advertising or ad profiling.
  • Building user profiles for purposes unrelated to the service.
  • Training AI models on your private content without your explicit consent.

4 What we do NOT access or do

We are transparent about the boundaries of our access to your LinkedIn account:

  • We do not read, store or process your private LinkedIn messages, InMail or direct conversations.
  • We do not retrieve, store or analyze your private connections list or the contact information of your network.
  • We do not access your LinkedIn notifications.
  • We do not access your private LinkedIn account settings, security settings or administrative controls.
  • We do not monitor your LinkedIn browsing activity, the profiles you view, or your search queries.
  • We do not store your LinkedIn password � authentication is handled exclusively through LinkedIn's OAuth flow, and your credentials are never shared with or stored by us.
  • We do not scrape or crawl LinkedIn, and we do not collect data beyond what the official LinkedIn API provides for your own connected account.
  • We do not publish to any account you did not explicitly connect and link to a workflow.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

5 Official LinkedIn API compliance

Linqent operates exclusively through LinkedIn's official API and authorized integration methods. This means:

  • All data access is governed by LinkedIn's API Terms of Use and Developer Program policies.
  • We only request the API permissions that are necessary for the features you use.
  • Data obtained through the LinkedIn APIs is limited to your own connected account and is never shared, sold or used for any other purpose.
  • You can review and revoke our API access at any time from the dashboard or through your LinkedIn account settings under "Permitted Services".
  • Any changes to LinkedIn's API policies are promptly reflected in our data practices.

6 Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Generated posts and comments remain in your history until you delete them or your account. LinkedIn connection tokens remain stored until you disconnect your account, at which point we revoke access and remove them.

When you request account deletion, your personal data is permanently removed from our systems without delay. Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot identify you personally may be retained for service improvement, and billing records may be retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.

7 Data sharing and disclosure

We do not share your personal data with third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service infrastructure: we use hosting providers to operate the service. These providers process data only to run the infrastructure and never use it for their own purposes.
  • Legal obligations: if required by applicable law, regulation or legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with prior notice to affected users.

8 Your rights and control

You are in control of your data at all times. Depending on your location, you may exercise the following rights:

  • Deletion: request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data using our Data Deletion page.
  • Disconnect: disconnect your LinkedIn connection at any time, which revokes our access to your LinkedIn account.
  • Correction: update your account information and workflow settings from the dashboard.
  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you by contacting us.
  • Portability: request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent: withdraw your consent for data processing at any time.

9 Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including password hashing, encrypted connections (TLS), scoped access tokens and least-privilege access controls. Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis, and access tokens are used only for the operations you authorize.

10 Children's privacy

Our service is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

11 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the service or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
